When it comes to trade shows, you can build on us

The decision to take part as an exhibitor in a trade fair is never taken lightly. There are so many aspects to consider. Why are we going, who are we going to meet, what are our messages? And then there is the cost, both direct (space, stand build, displays) and indirect (travel, accommodation, entertainment) as well as the often “hidden costs” of staff involved in attendance, organisation, coordination and communication.

Whilst we are probably best known for messaging and content marketing, spokesperson training and media outreach activities, the EMG team delivers client support for virtually every aspect of trade show participation, from design to on-site logistics support – and beyond.  Some of the shows we have worked on in 2017 include JEC, VDI, in-cosmetics, Fakuma, Chinaplas, ECS,  Chinacoat, Interpack, formnext, IAA, SPS/IPC/Drives. Check our initial Event  Planning 2018 to learn where we will be in 2018.

A key area of expertise is the provision of stand-building support. After taking an initial brief, we identify suitable stand builders, request and compare designs and quotes - bearing in mind the clients’ key objectives, requirements and budgets. We manage the entire process, so that our clients only need to make key decisions at pre-determined moments.

Save time and leg-work by making EMG a first point of contact and responsible for liaison with the show organisers as well as for sourcing reliable suppliers of support services. What’s more, by keeping an eye on the various deadlines we can safeguard that delivery is on time and within budget. We will even have someone on-site to make sure all is well and help out with any last minute requests – so that when the show opens, your stand looks great and ready for action.

I delivered my 20th stand at Fakuma 2017 and as trade shows tend to be hectic – it’s great to be able to help create a well-designed and relatively stress-free environment where business can be conducted efficiently. And of course, good design includes clear branding and dynamic displays – making sure that your stand attracts the right audience.

My first exhibition was the K 2010, the biggest global trade fair in the plastics industry. Of course, it was quite (read: very) stressful as everything was new to me; but perhaps the fact that I didn’t know what to expect, saved me during my first stand build coordination and on-site management experience.

Today, I know exactly what requires attention, where to find the right information; I map deadlines, agree responsibilities and develop an overall planning.  This allows me to be much more proactive and advice our clients on achieving the best possible result.
