EMG welcomes in the Year of the Pig

EMG moved our office from across the river two years ago, and we have watched the district blossom into a hub for innovators and entrepreneurs in the areas of science, artificial intelligence, technology and culture. The area is also home to Shanghai Industrial Manufacturing and Robot Park, Shanghai’s very first Chemical Industry Park and numerous multinational and local companies.
Moving to Putuo has been beneficial for us in a number of ways. Not only has it put us within a closer range and easier access to the majority of our clients, it has also worked out well for the EMG team who have to commute to the office. We are located in the recently renamed Seazen building on Zhongjiang Road, so Line 13 metro is within a five minute walk, and a new station is well under way right next to our building.
The location is close to Honggiao airport and the National Exhibition and Congress Centre, the world’s largest expo venue. And with some 250,000 square meters of new green area planned in the future, Putuo is destined to become a cleaner, more attractive and desirable area for both businesses and people to reside in.
As we venture into the Chinese Year of the Pig, we are looking forward to seeing the completion of other additions to the district such as the online video industry cluster, which is planned to bring in creative minds from the video and digital media industry. And it’s nice to see some of the old areas not being forgotten, but getting a facelift as part of the plan. For example, the Huxi Cinema is also undergoing redevelopment to become a new theatre and a music studio. Plus, new commercial, technological and cultural businesses are planned to rejuvenate the historic centre of Zhenru.
Add in the already established events like the Shanghai International Film Festival, Suzhou Creek Culture and Arts festival, Suzhou Creek Dragon Boat Competition and the Shanghai International 10km Race, and you have a vibrant area filled with dynamic businesses and people.
The future is indeed bright for the district and EMG is delighted to be in the heart of it. We look forward to enjoying Putuo’s future prosperity in 2019 and beyond.
