Additive Manufacturing: Materials, Machines and Applications as the foundations of our latest practice
Yesterday, we launched our additive manufacturing (AM) and 3D printing practice. As far as we know, we’re the first communications agency - in Europe, at least - to establish one.
Why now, and why us?
Over the years, we’ve seen a lot of innovations and technologies come and go. Many are over-hyped as the next big thing, announced to a great fanfare only fizzle out 18 months later. While there is also media hype around additive manufacturing and enterprise 3D printing, we think it’s here to stay. We also think its potential to add value to manufacturing even in the short-term is huge.
We’re not jumping on a bandwagon.
In fact, we’ve been watching the sector develop for the past few years. There has been a change since the beginning of the year though. As the sector consolidates through rapid M&A and both investment and deployment by the aerospace and automotive industries, we have seen a significant shift in how our clients - especially those focused on materials - are talking externally about AM and solidifying their go-to-market strategies.
That, along with our deep sector knowledge of materials, machinery, applications and manufacturing were the triggers for us to form a dedicated practice.
Our team of ten are communications and marketing consultants, writers and creatives with a background in corporate communications, campaign management, as well as content development.
We’re already up and running!
Our vision for the practice is to have a balanced portfolio of large players, innovative start-ups and SMEs, as well as companies from the various vertical industries wanting counsel on how to engage with global influencers and opinion leaders.
